Before You Join

Important Membership Information

Please read the key membership information before joining Chapter Gym. If you are unsure about anything, contact us before signing up.

All toggles below are closed by default so you can quickly read the sections that apply to you.

Membership & Access

Monthly Membership is £40 per calendar month and provides access to Chapter Gym during member access hours.

Membership+ is £65 per calendar month and includes gym access, a full gym induction and a custom gym plan.

Day Passes are £10 and provide single-day access during reception hours only.

Members must be 16 years or older unless otherwise agreed by Chapter Gym.

Personal Training

Personal training is available at Chapter Gym.

Regular personal training clients must hold an active Chapter Gym membership to use the facilities.

For one-off personal training sessions, a Day Pass may be required unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Cancellation Policy

Monthly memberships require 30 days’ written notice to cancel.

Cancellation requests must be sent by message, email or in writing so there is a clear record.

You remain responsible for any payments due during the notice period.

If your circumstances change and you are unable to continue your membership, please contact us so we can discuss your options.

Payments

Membership payments are collected on a recurring monthly basis.

If a payment fails, access may be paused until the missed payment is resolved.

Repeated missed payments may result in the membership being cancelled.

Gym Rules

Members must respect the gym, equipment, staff, coaches and other members.

Equipment must be used safely and returned after use.

Chapter Gym reserves the right to refuse access or cancel a membership if someone acts dangerously, abusively or repeatedly breaks gym rules.

Liability & Personal Belongings

Members and visitors use the gym at their own risk.

Please train within your ability and ask for help if you are unsure how to use equipment.

Chapter Gym is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings unless caused by our negligence.

Privacy & Legal

Personal information is handled in line with the Chapter Gym Privacy Policy.

Photos and videos may occasionally be taken in the gym for social media or promotional use. Please speak to us if you do not wish to be included.

Can I look around before joining?
Yes. You are welcome to visit Chapter Gym and have a look around before joining. Please contact us first so we can arrange a suitable time.

If you would like to train before joining, you will need to book a Day Pass.

When can I train?
Members can access Chapter Gym during member access hours.

Member Access Hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 20:00
Saturday: 08:00 - 17:00
Sunday: 10:00 - 17:00

Reception and Day Pass Hours:
Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 17:00
Saturday: 10:00 - 14:00
Sunday: Reception closed

Members can access the gym outside reception hours using their access code.

Can I cancel my monthly membership at any time?
Yes. Monthly memberships require 30 days’ written notice to cancel.

You remain responsible for any payments due during your notice period. Once your notice period has ended, future payments will stop.

Can I pause my membership if I am away?
Yes. Memberships can be placed on hold for up to one billing cycle.

If you are going away or unable to train for a few weeks, please contact Chapter Gym before your next payment date to request a membership hold.

How is payment taken?
Monthly memberships are paid by recurring Direct Debit. Your payment is collected each month from the date your membership started.

One-off payments, including Day Passes, can be paid separately.

How do I arrange personal training?
Please contact Chapter Gym using the enquiry form on our contact page. One of the team will get back to you to discuss personal training options.

Regular personal training clients need an active membership to use the facilities. For one-off personal training sessions, a Day Pass may be required unless agreed in advance.

Chapter Gym is located in the heart of Medway at Gundulph House, Gundulph Road, Chatham, ME4 4ED. We are perfectly positioned on the border of Rochester and Chatham, just a short distance from both historic high streets.

By Foot: A 10–15 minute walk from both Chatham and Rochester train stations.

By Car: Easy access from Strood, Gillingham, and the A2.

Parking: We have limited on-site private parking for members.

Local Car Park: Easons Yard (ME1 1BU): A convenient 6-minute walk away.
